C.J. Fair and Erin Hamlin to Headline Sitrin’s Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game
NEW HARTFORD – Tickets are now on sale for Sitrin’s 12th Annual Celebrity Classic Wheelchair Basketball Game to be held on April 10, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Utica College gymnasium. This year’s event will feature Syracuse University Men’s Basketball star C.J. Fair and Olympic Bronze Medalist Erin Hamlin. Also representing the celebrity team are Ultimate Fighter Matt “The Hammer” Hamill and world-renowned Illusionists Leon Etienne and Romy Low, who appeared on America’s Got Talent!
This family-friendly event, which benefits the Sitrin STARS (Success Through Adaptive Recreation and Sports) program, pits wheelchair athletes against local celebrities in two challenging and entertaining 20-minute halves.
Tickets are only $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students, and children under the age of five are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Sitrin or on the night of the event. Doors open at 6 p.m. For more information, call (315) 737-2406.

Established in 2001, the Sitrin STARS program provides people with physical disabilities an array of sporting activities, as well as opportunities to compete on a Paralympic level. In addition to wheelchair basketball, STARS activities include wheelchair curling, adaptive paddling, adaptive golf, wheelchair road racing, biathlon, air rifle shooting, and archery.
