Burgers & Brews Tonight At Saranac Brewery!
Tonight, August 7, from 6 pm – 9 pm, Burgers and Brews returns to Saranac Brewery with its second event of the season to benefit the American Cancer Society! Each event features the burger creations of a local restaurant or chef paired with beverages from our hometown craft brewery. Attendees will enjoy an evening of delicious food, Saranac beer or soda, music, and more.
The August chef is Michael Latreille, from Michael’s Fine Food and Spirits in Waterville. Guests will have their choice of a specialty burger, regular burger, or a vegetarian option, as well as the choice of one of two sides. Saranac will provide the beverages.
Asked why this event is important to him, Mr. Latreille states, “We lost my mother-in-law after an eight-year battle with cancer. She was an incredible woman and was a true inspiration to me and those that were fortunate enough to know her. Throughout her journey with cancer, we met so many unbelievable people that gave us so much support, advice, and encouragement. We felt truly fortunate to have had them with us through such a difficult time. I feel that giving back to the community is crucial, so when I was asked to participate in this event, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. We are honored to help the American Cancer Society and hope that our efforts will also help another family or two that are going through what my wife and I did. I am thankful for the opportunity to be involved.”
ThunderWatt will perform. In addition, there will be raffles, corn hole, and games. This is an all-ages event, but you must be 21 to purchase alcohol. Well behaved dogs on leashes are also welcome.
Tickets are $20 in advance ($25 at the door) and include your choice of burger, side, and beverage (beer or soda). Tickets can be purchased in advance at: crowdrise.com/burgersandbrewsutica. Entry without dinner is $5. For more information, visit: https://www.facebook.com/burgersandbrewsUtica or contact Melanie.Francis@cancer.org.
