Luke Janicki, a Business Management major from Old Forge, won for his paper The Glass Menagerie: The Dance of Light in the Tunnel of Despair, which he wrote for Professor Alina Mildred Treis. MVCC students place 7th in international Aerospace Maintenance Competition in Orlando

May 17, 2017 - On April 24 to 27, five students from Mohawk Valley Community Colleges Airframe and Powerplant program placed seventh among aviation school teams at the 10th annual international Aerospace Maintenance Competition in Orlando, Fla. There were 21 student teams participating from 17 schools, and more than 30 professional teams represented by engineers and technicians from major aircraft manufacturers, maintenance facilities, and the United States military.

MVCC to host RoAnn Destito, Excelsior Scholarship information session on Utica, Rome campuses

May 17, 2017 - Mohawk Valley Community College will host two information sessions for the Excelsior Scholarship with RoAnn Destito, commissioner of the New York State Office of General Services, who will discuss the details of the Scholarship plan for free SUNY tuition. The first session will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 8, in the Alumni College Center on the Utica Campus, and the second session will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, in Plumley Complex room 150 on the Rome Campus.
