Adirondack Scenic Railroad Extends Popular Polar Express by Two Days

Dec 7, 2016 - The Polar Express is enjoying its best and biggest season ever with tickets sales at a record high. With over 19,000 tickets already sold the Adirondack Scenic Railroad has extended The Polar Express Train Ride by two days, December 19th & 20th.
The Polar Express Train Ride has become a holiday tradition for so many families it was a no-brainer for us to extend the event by two additional days, said Bethan Maher, Executive Director of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad.

Lazzaro P.C., ("RNL") an independent financial planning and investment services firm based in Rutland, VT, announced the completion of an asset purchase transaction on December 2, 2016, and the launch of a strategic combination between the two firms. Under the terms of the transaction, Berkshire Bank acquired the business assets of Ronald N. Lazzaro P.C., which will expand Berkshire Bank's wealth management and investment services provided in Vermont.

Nov 30, 2016 - The Oneida Community (1848-1880) was a 19th century religious utopian group that challenged many of the social practices and beliefs that predominated early nineteenth century American society. In particular, womens experiences in a community that practiced polyamory and communal child raising were vastly different than their mainstream counterparts. Molly Jessup, curator of education at the Oneida Community Mansion House, will explore the gendered experiences of Community women, and the significance of their lives to the women's rights movement.
