Council Chair: Pamela Mustee
About the Council:
Serving as the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce primary membership development and retention force, this council helps plan and implement the annual membership campaigns and contacts new businesses. The larger the Greater Utica Chamber, the stronger its voice will be on public policy matters affecting members throughout the region.
Committee members serve as Chamber Ambassadors at Chamber functions, such as Ribbon Cuttings, luncheon meetings and Business After Hours. These events are more than celebrations; they are a chance to highlight the positive aspects of business and life that we share in the Utica area.
Council meets at 4:00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month at one of our Chamber Member Businesses.
About the Greater Utica Chamber Ambassadors’ Club
This dynamic group is involved in nearly every Chamber-sponsored event, and members donate significant time and effort to support the Chamber’s programs and activities. You will see them representing the Chamber and assisting at functions such as Ribbon Cuttings, ground breakings, and membership recruiting activities, to name a few. They serve as mentors to new Chamber members and help engage other members in the Chamber.
The Mission of the Greater Utica Chamber Ambassadors’ Club is to introduce new members of the Chamber to programs, services & benefits, to promote chamber membership to new and existing area businesses and to encourage a positive sense of community in the Utica area.
Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening Ceremonies
A great way to let people know of exciting changes happening at your business, is to do a Ribbon Cutting. The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors would be happy to bring out the large ceremonial scissors, a long length of red ribbon and a big bow to help any Chamber member celebrate the opening of a new location, renovation of their building or a big anniversary.
